Chameleon is a free software that lets you automatically change the Windows theme colors and tweak the aero settings. The fourth update of Chameleon adds many exciting features to the software. The eight color changing modes lets you automatically change the theme colors under eight different criteria. The modes include wallpaper, screen, window icon and etc. All the modes have been discussed in detail as follows:
Chameleon software for Windows
Wallpaper
Under this mode the theme colors are changed according to the desktop background. The program automatically picks up the color matching with the desktop background. With the change in desktop background the theme color is also changed.
Screen
This mode is very similar to the wallpaper mode but in this mode the program picks the color from the active screen instead the wallpaper.
Program Icon
This is my favourite mode, under this Chameleon gets the color from the active program’s icon and applies it to the system theme color. Program Icon mode makes perfect combinations and the application window looks amazing when they are tuned to their icon’s color.
Random
This mode lets you randomly change the theme color in a specified interval, you can change the timer interval from the settings. Change the interval to one mili-second and enjoy the disco effect.
Conditions
This mode changes the theme color according to the weather conditions, for example if its sunny out there the system color would change to light yellow and if it is showering snow, the theme would be automatically changed to white. To enable this mode you must enter your location in the settings or the program would display results for the default location.
Temperature
This mode changes the theme color with the change in temperature, you can decide different colors for different temperature intervals, for an example if the temperature is going to be between 70 and 79 Fahrenheit the color will be changed to bright yellow or something like that, and again to use this feature you must enter your location in settings.
Battery
This mode changes theme color depending on the remaining battery percentage, this is a nice feature and it will keep you updated about the battery status of your laptop.
Time
Under this mode the colors are changed with change in time, in the morning the color is changed to light blue and in the evening it becomes light brownish. You can always edit these colors as per your wish.
The software is unique in its kind and gives you the best color changing features. Another expected feature in the next release will be the Webcam mode in which Chameleon will get the color from webcam picture. The software is nice, easy to use and free of cost.
