4K may have started out as a resolution exclusive to high-end television sets, but consumer monitors have adopted it as well. Some business displays have done the same, and it is that sort of product line that Acer has just released, among other things.
To be more accurate, there are three new monitor lines in Acer's portfolio: the Acer B6, the CB0, and the XB0.
The Acer B6 is made for normal business customers and even regular consumers. It extends to 32-inch display sizes and has tilt support of -5 to 35 degrees, plus a swivel of 60 degrees to the left or right.
The Acer CB0 is specifically aimed at small and medium businesses, as well as home offices. It boasts Acer EyeProtect technology (flicker-free screen and ComfyView reflection reduction) and ColorPlus (a set of technologies that ensures consistent and sharp color output).
Low-dimming technology is included as well, bringing brightness to 15% if the room is dark. All these assets reduce eye fatigue significantly.
Finally, the Acer XB0 line is made for gamers and has NVIDIA G-SYNC support (synchronizes the frame rate with the GPU, for low latency and no screen tearing or other glitches).
The new monitors come in 27- to 32-inch screen sizes and either WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) or 4K2K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). You can activate a 21:9 aspect ratio (2560 x 1080 pixels) mode too, allowing you to view two video sources in landscape mode at the same time.
The Acer B6 Specialty, CB0, and XB0 monitors should show up for sale shortly. Prices were not mentioned in the announcement.
