This feature of Gmail allows anyone to take back an e-mail while is already sent within a period of 30 seconds. By enabling the ‘undo send’ option under the settings tab can get the feature ON.

Google, as all of us are aware offers free group video chat through its Hangouts platform. As such, its rival – Microsoft too has decided to step in and join the league. The company announced yesterday that it is making Skype group video calling free across various platforms.
Group video calling was introduced by Skype officially back in 2010. Then, the service offered support for up to 10 people. Moreover, the service was rolled out as a premium service for paying customers since it graduated from beta. Beginning today, the scheme of things is intended to change.

First, Skype group video calling will be free on Windows, Mac, and the Xbox One. Second, Skype confirmed that group screen sharing will also be free. Curiously, Microsoft chose not to confirm in its announcement whether Windows Phone users will need Skype Premium to take part in group video calls. Perhaps that news will hit during WP 8.1′s launch this year.

FEDERATION OF NATIONAL POSTAL ORGANISATION
CENTRAL HEAD QUARTERS, NEWDELHI

28/04/2014
         * CADRE RESTRUCTURING AGREEMENT SIGNED *

At last after several round of protracted negotiations with the administration, JCM Staff side, Departmental council ( NFPE & FNPO) has signed the cadre restructuring proposal. The staff side has tried to the best of its ability to make maximum improvement in the proposal. In spite of our hard bargaining we could not achieve 100 percent success. Our demand for separate higher pay scale for PO& RMS Accountants, Creation of separate cadre for System Administrators or grant of special pay/allowance, bringing MTS also under cadre restructuring etc is not accepted by the administration. Regarding Postmaster Cadre after much bargaining, it is agreed to examine our claim for higher pay scale after the present proposal is approved by the government.

As Govt has already appointed 7th CPC and the Pay Commission has already published the questionnaire, any further delay in completing the cadre restructuring will adversely affect the interest of Postal employees. We will take up the remaining issues, which are not agreed by the administration in the cadre restructuring committee with the 7th CPC in our memorandum and make one more effort to get a favourable recommendation.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Clarification on increase in certain allowances by further 25% as a result of enhancement of Dearness Allowances w.e.f. 1.1.2014

The undersigned is directed to refer to para 1(j) of this Department’s 0M. No.12011/03/2008-Estt. (Allowance) dated 2.9.2008. This provides that the limits of Children Education Allowance would be automatically raised by 25% every time the Dearness Allowance on the revised pay structure goes up by 50%. Expected DA from July 14 – Looks like the curiosity surrounding the expected DA is fast receding..!

Expected DA from July 14 – Looks like the curiosity surrounding the expected DA is fast receding..!
One of the possible reasons for the dampening interest could be the fact that unlike last time, there is not going to be a DA hike. Although it is very well known that the hike is based on price rise and inflation, it probably feels to them as if something was lost.
This time there is no double-digit increase. It is only going to be a single-digit hike.
At the most, one can expect an increase of 7%. That too is not for sure. All that depends on the soon to be announced AICPIN points for balance months.
After announcing the second additional DA for the year 2014, there are only two instalments left. With the instalments of January 2015 and July 2015, the 6th CPC comes to a close.
The next additional DA will be based on the 7th CPC.
Additional Dearness Allowance formula could be changed in the 7th CPC. They could announce a new Base Year. There could also be a change in the 115.76 yardstick. Nothing can be said for certain this time.

Think Before You Root An Android Device

Android mobile platform offers the endless customization which excites the users to have every possible feature they desire on their handsets, be it Smartphones or tablets. Rooting is the process which helps you achieve this goal, but it is not without risks. In the process you may completely damage your device. Even manufacturers can nullify or void the device warranty for the rooted device. Here is some reasons why you should not root your Android device, as compiled by Pacewisdom.com

Bricking the Device

Rooting can be risky if you are not familiar with the rooting process and the device. Rooting includes lots of dangers of destroying the device permanently. Bricking the device means turning it into a brick which is of no use, and this may happen when you fail to root it properly. The device is
dead when it has been bricked. So while rooting a device, follow the instructions carefully for the specific device and operating system (OS) version. If any trouble occurs while rooting and you brick your device, return the device to the store or seek the help of XDA Forums.

Losing Updations

Once rooting is done, your device is freed from the service provider. Your device no longer receives any updates without losing the root access. Rooting may cause interruptions in getting updates from the device manufacturer. This way you will miss out device features and security enhancements.

Netcraft Extension offers Heartbleed and phishing protection

Since two weeks when we posted about the Heartbleed bug, this deadly vulnerability has affected many trusted SSL web servers, putting users at the risk of compromising sensitive information to hackers. To stay safe from this deadly bug away you can make use of some browser extensions to warn you of Heartbleed affected websites. One such recently launched and useful tool is the browser extension from Internet security services provider Netcraft.
The Netcraft Extension for Opera, Chrome and Firefox offers Heartbleed and Phishing protection together. It allows you to see whether the websites you visit are still using potentially compromised certificates using data from Netcraft’s SSL Survey. If this is the case, the extension will also check to see if the site’s SSL certificate has been replaced; if it has not, then the site is considered to be unsafe, as the certificate’s private key could have been compromised.

Netcraft Extension

The free Netcraft Extension can be installed on Chrome, Firefox  and Opera browsers. Go here and click on the icon of the browser on which you wish to install the extension, as shown in the image. You can choose from Firefox, Chrome or Opera.NetCraft Extension 1 Netcraft Extension offers Heartbleed and phishing protection

Microsoft announced their Smart Watch…10 years ago!

Smart Watch or effectively wearable minicomputer is believed to be the next big gadget after Smart Phones. It is estimated that more than 2 million Smart Watches were sold in 2013 with Galaxy Gear Smart Watches from Samsung dominating the market. Other players like Pebble and Sony are also present in this market occupying a smaller share as compared to Samsung. But, have you heard of Microsoft’s presence in Smart Watch market? Smart Watch

Updated Opera browser will block Heartbleed vulnerabilities

It seems all browsers have decided to tackle the biggest heartache of the online world - Heartbleed, the new-found OpenSSL bug! Opera web browser is all set to fight this bug that has caused worry for all internet-based commercial as well as other websites. Opera chose to include its ‘bug-fighting’ feature in its new versions, Opera 12.17.
Heartbleed
In an earlier security blog, Opera mentioned about Heartbleed,
“The Presto engine used in Opera 12 and older does use OpenSSL, but not the features of OpenSSL which contained the vulnerability. Hence Presto is not vulnerable, on any platform. This includes Opera Mini and Opera Mail, which use Presto. Opera Mini encryption between the client and proxy is also unaffected. Opera 14 and higher runs on Chromium, Desktop versions do not use OpenSSL. Android versions do, but not the features which contained the vulnerability. Coast by Opera only uses OpenSSL for certification information, not any parts of the vulnerable code. So the short version is that Opera products are not vulnerable. Opera will of course use plugins, and may also use or call system functions or libraries, so even if you are using Opera, you should still make sure your system is secured and up to date.”

Windows has its own default Power Plans to save energy by turning off the display when there isn’t any activity, for a certain time period. It also put your computer to sleep when you don’t touch your keyboard or move your mouse for the set period of time. However, these may be good power saving options, but there are times our computer may be busy, even when we aren’t actively using its keyboard or mouse. Postal bank test awaits new govt

The high profile spat between the Reserve Bank of India and the finance ministry over converting India’s loss-making 1.54 lakh post offices under India Post into a bank is likely to be one of the challenging issues that the next government will have to handle.

Top officials said the North Block would prepare a concept note for the next government on the pros and cons of allowing India Post to float a commercial bank. The issue bears directly on financial inclusion, which is a priority of all political parties.

The department of financial services has been put on notice by the RBI that a postal bank has not been ruled out by it despite the finance ministry’s refusal to grant permission to consider the licence application. The RBI has said it may “consider” the application of the postal department for a licence “separately in consultation with the Government of India”.

The department of posts had applied for a licence to the RBI, which was believed to be favourably disposed towards the idea despite initial reservations.

But this conception is not fully correct as now Bollywood is not all about romance and action thrillers. There are also some good movies that kids can watch with fun and learn simultaneously.

Here are some of the Bollywood films that you can enjoy watching with your kids this summer. Some are light and funny and some more substantial.

1. Bhootnath Returns: Bhoothnath Returns is one of the best films for kids to watch this summer. It is an Indian horror comedy film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced jointly by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Ravi Chopra.
This film is a sequel to 2008 film Bhoothnath, the film features Amitabh Bachchan in a leading role followed by Parth Bhalerao (kid in the film) and Boman Irani in a supporting role. The movie is filled with comedy but also has a message in it. The story is about Bhootnath (Amitabh Bacchan) who is taunted by other ghosts in the ghost world as he was not able to scare a kid on earth. This time Bhootnath returns with a mission to scare kids. And this time, he meets Akhrot the only kid who can see Bhoothnath. But soon, they become friends and decide to fight against the country's most powerful and corrupt politician.
