How To Run A Quick Scan Using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware To Help Keep Your System Secure
Thanks to those really clever guys over at Malwarebytes you needn’t fret too much.  All you need to do is install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and you have won half the battle at least!

Once you have installed and opened the application, you will be presented with a message stating that you should update the program, and also that a scan has never been run on your system. You will need to click on the “Update Now” button so that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware can run a check for any updates and if there are some it will download and install them.
To start a system scan you need to click on the “Fix Now” button.  You can also click on the ‘Scan’ tab and then select ‘Threat Scan’ and click on the ‘Scan Now’ button.  Malwarebytes Anti-Malware will now start scanning your computer for any malware.

When the scan has been completed you will now be shown a screen that gives you the malware infections, which the application has detected. To remove all of the malicious things the application has found, just click on the ‘Quarantine All’ button and then click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.
The application will now quarantine all the malware files and also any attached registry keys that it has found. Sometimes when removing some files, the application may require a reboot in order to remove them. If the application displays a message stating that it needs to reboot your system, then allow it to do so.  Your computer will then restart.  Once you are back to your desktop you should open Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and then perform another ‘Threat Scan.’ This will verify if that there are any remaining threats on your system.
