Dropbox Experimental Build Tries Out Screenshot Sharing And iPhoto Import

Dropbox has released an experimental updates(version 2.3.12) that is geared for better productivity. The update brings an easier way to share your screenshots and an iPhoto import tool for Macs that will automatically mirror your iPhoto library in Dropbox. Dropbox will take in feedback from its user base and there’s a better than probable chance that the features will be part of the final stable release.
The Dropbox build should make it easier to share screenshots by simply using the Print Screen key on Windows or the corresponding shortcut key on Mac. The screenshot is automatically copied to the Dropbox folder and a unique link is generated if you want to share it with anyone. The URL is copied to the system Clipboard.

Dropbox is also making it easier for Mac users to back up their iPhoto albums to Dropbox, and even create shared galleries if they want to showcase the photos to a specific audience. The Import from iPhoto feature creates iPhoto albums and events as Dropbox albums. Do note that the feature is only supported on Mac with iPhoto 7.0 or higher. There is also a bug if you try it with 100+ albums or events.
These two changes are also bolstered by faster upload/download speeds for large files and a Move to Dropbox context menu entry that should make it easy to move any file on your system into the Dropbox folder.
