Samsung has launched two new Galaxy Tab 4 models in India. The new Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is listed for Rs 23,960 while the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 costs Rs 30,498. Both the tablets are not available of purchase right away but listing certainly hints that it would be possible soon.
The Galaxy Tab 4 series tablets have very identical specifications with clear distinction between the screen sizes, battery sizes and weight. Samsung has integrated the MultiWindows multitasking feature in all three tablets along with Samsung Link capabilities for seamlessly sharing content across devices. So far, the listed models are WiFi only models.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 WiFi
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 tablet features an 8 inch screen with 1280x800 pixel resolution. It has a 1.2 GHz quad-core mobile chipset which is coupled with 1.5 GB RAM. Samsung will offer this tablet only in 16 GB on-board storage option but in variety of models - WiFi only, WiFi+3G and WiFi+LTE.
Of course, there is a memory slot in the tablet to support up to 64 GB micro SD card. Even this tablet has a 3 megapixel camera at the back and 1.3 megapixel camera in the front. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 will feature WiFi and WiFi Direct support along with Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0. This 320 grams heavy tablet is 7.95 mm thick. Samsung has packed 4450 mAh battery inside this tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1
This tablet features 10.1-inch touchscreen display with 1280x800 pixel resolution. It too has the 1.2 GHz quad-core mobile processor, 1.5 GB RAM and 16 GB on-board storage. This tablet can accommodate up to 64 GB micro SD card as well. The usual set of supported features include WiFi along with WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 port.
Even this tablet has a 3 megapixel camera at the back and 1.3 megapixel camera in the front. Measuring 7.95mm thick, the Galaxy Tab4 10.1 weighs 487 grams because of the 6800 mAh battery packed inside.
