Google, the popular search engine has become one of the fastest growing companies of all time and diversified into so many sectors. You can also use ‘define’ in the same way and Google will give you a dictionary term for the word, its usage in speech, and more. Sometimes a memory lapse leaves you searching for the right word. Instead of guessing, put an asterisk in the vacant spot and have the search engine figure it out for you.  Type in ‘set timer’ for followed by a number of minutes, or a specific hour you’d like an alert, and Google will graciously comply with an obnoxious beeping once the moment has arrived. Just make sure the volume’s on.  These additional search tools are incredibly useful and streamline the whole search process.

To get an image, go to the search bar, type a name and search the persons face, images, clip art, or any number of things by clicking on search tools and selecting a choice from the drop down menu. You can search specifically for animations or line drawings. It will reveal the length and width of the photo pixel size, so the quality of the photo is shown before you download. Google can also take you to the website from where the photo came from so that you can make a purchase. It also has a feature called auto enhance, an editing tool for photos and a feature called auto awesome that can help make photos and video look better.

Skip doing math in your head and punch in the units you want to convert. Google has a built in calculator, you can do basic arithmetic, logarithms, metric and English conversions for weight and volume, to know about weather reports, type in a city name followed by the word ‘forecast’. It can also tell you the time, location of any place in the world. It can track packages for the major package shipping companies. Instead of slogging through your airline’s website, just type in your flight number and get an easy look at all the important stuff, flight status, times, terminal, and gate. These tools are not only efficient for personal use, but they can also be used for professional use. Google tools to calculate financial ratios, manage workflow, and calculate their investment portfolios with ease. One can use these tools to make presentations both online and offline. Google can consume so much of human’s time with all these creative efforts and has made life so easy and convenient.
