A single user today has multiple accounts for cloud services. He uses DropBox, SkyDrive , GoogleDrive and ther services to store his information in cloud as it offers multitude of benefits to its users. That said, it is a daunting task to manage two or more cloud drives from a single place. You need to manage them individually. Why not give MultCloud a try?
MultCloud is a cloud aggregator tool that offers the freedom to connect to several accounts from single place. More importantly, the free web service possesses the innate ability to copy files from one cloud storage account to another, without having to download it on your desktop and then upload from there to the desired service.
How to use MultCloud
During my brief time with the application, I found it to be simple and useful. The process for signing up for the service is fairly simple and quick. All you need to do is enter the email address, password and you are ready to use the service. Your account is active!
Once you are done, you are presented with a clean interface. it looks uncluttered. You can see the services the free web application supports. It includes popular names like,
- Box
- Dropbox
- SkyDrive
- SugarSync
- AmazonS3
Simply start using the service to connect to multiple accounts. Here I chose Google! If the service would like to access your basic information allow it to do so.
Next, transfer files without having them to download or upload locally.
Do the same with other services. All your folders are displayed in a side-bar to the left of the service in a neat order.
Earlier, the name of the service was ‘DropInOne’, but was changed to ‘MultCloud’ due to some trademark conflict issues with Dropbox. One thing I noticed, the application lacks support for mobile applications. Also, it cannot edit .doc and .txt files as it doesn’t have advance built-in editing capabilities – nevertheless a useful tool overall!
