How To Share Your Screen With Skype

How To Share Your Screen With Skype

Have you ever wanted to show a friend, whom you are talking to over the Internet, something on your computer, but just don’t know how? Skype has a great feature that allows you to share your screen on your Windows desktop.
Screen sharing lets you share your computer screen with anyone who is on Skype. This is a fantastic tool for showing someone how to complete a task, display a presentation or show friends and family your photos.  You can share your screen with one Skype contact at any given time during a voice call for free.
To share your screen, navigate to the bottom toolbar of the call that is currently live.  You will see a blue coloured plus symbol.  Click on that and you will be presented with an option to share screens, click on that option.
Skype will now ask you if you want to start sharing your screen with the person you are connected to, click start.

If you want to share a specific window, rather than your entire screen, click the down arrow button on the left of your screen and then select Share window from the dropdown menu.
Now just select the window you want to share and click Start.  If you wan to change your screen sharing options at any time during the call, you can do so by clicking the Change sharing options icon that is in the floating call window.  If you want to stop sharing your screen, just click stop sharing.
Another really useful idea that Skype has, is the ability to send data whilst you are screen sharing.  The other person can send you video at the same time as the screen share and you can send files and messages.
