5 Tech Mistakes To Avoid In 2014

The use of tech-products facilitates us in our daily lives. But at times, our silly mistakes could leave us with severe losses. ‘Prevention is better than cure’, true for the above fact, one need not to worry if he/she takes care of little things. Take them for forbidding means; these are the 5 tech mistakes you should stay away from.

1. Buying the Bad Windows

Looking to buy new windows for your PC or Laptop?  Just keep a brief idea about the windows you are going to buy for your PC. At times the opted windows might not support the web browsers and many important types of software.

Before buying a new windows make sure, it should contain low U factor that means slower heat-flow rate. Windows should have a high resistance value such that it provides greater resistance to heat flow proving its high-energy efficiency.

2. Buying a Device Running Old Android

Android is popular everywhere nowadays, but what matters most is it should be the latest of its types. Since 2008, Android is on a continuous verge of updating its versions. The latest released version is 4.4.4 Kitkat, appeared as a security-only update. There have been reports people bought a device without even checking if it was updated with the latest versions and they were left with nothing else but dismay.

3. Keeping Files in the wrong format

Storing files for future is wise way, but you can get messed up when the storing format is wrong.

Just remember whenever you are transcoding any video or any music file, make sure the storage format is accessible even after years or so. Because certain formats may not lasts longer as their sole dependence is on a single company.

4. Scrimping on storage

Scrimping on capacity to save few bucks is certainly not a good decision. One can persist to spend on storage cost but a mere accumulation could result in losing your valuable data and legal information.

When you are opting for small capacity; the OS might seize certain gigabytes and a half dozen Gif files will fill the entire storage. Scrimping or Saving? Choice is yours.

5. Fail to Backup

Whenever plan A fails, you must have a plan B as your backup plan. What if you don’t have a plan B? All gone. Therefore it’s advised to encrypt your data, if required with password options.

Whenever you are installing any big software update, it’s advisable to back up your data, otherwise you would be the one calling customer care to account for the loss.
