Will you upgrade after Windows XP End of Support? See survey results

The latest findings on Windows XP reveal Microsoft’s most successful operating system – Windows XP might have trailed, but is certainly not out. A simple XP Support Survey conducted among Windows XP users from different geographical locations like USA, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Denmark which represents windows XP users globally indicate people are willing to continue use of XP irrespective of vulnerabilities it possesses.

Windows XP Support Survey Results

Survey
The survey was set up with three simple questions.

The first question relates to what users plan to do after the April 9 deadline. The graphical representation that follows up is worrying! A whopping 65% plan to continue use Windows XP while 18 % of users vacillate between shifting their experience to Windows 7 and upgrading the system to latest OS – Windows 8.1. One can therefore assume that users do not really care that much about compromising with security and are not averse to taking risks.
The second question pertains to apprehensions of users fear about keeping Windows XP without having ongoing support.
The third and final question covers the extent of worry. It’s not that their fear is unfounded. There are some concerns, mostly related to the missing windows Updates. However, 28% also express worry regarding malware and viruses.
It seems although users are aware of the repercussions they are swathed by an overpowering impulse within them to carry on with the use of primitive OS, threats of which are clearly evaluated by IT professionals, warning or reminding users from time to time as an advisory.
The survey conducted by SpamFighter blog, is based on 1,740 replies. Of the total respondents, 23% were women and 77% were men.
We are curious. How many of you still Use Windows XP?  And what do you plan to do after End Of Support. Do let us know what you or friends have in mind, in the comments below.
It will of course, not be advisable to stay with Windows XP after end of support as Microsoft will stop providing security patches and updates to Windows XP SP3. Nevertheless, for those users who would be constrained to use it simply because they may not be able to afford to upgrade - or for whatever other reason, we have written an article on securing Windows XP after end of support, which you may want to have a look at.
