Firefox: Mozilla Dumps Google, Now with Yahoo

 

Mozilla has enjoyed a decade long arrangement with Google whereby the Firefox browser has shipped with Google search as default search engine. In fact, the deal with Google has accounted for a large percentage of Mozilla’s overall revenue during that time. Now, as the current deal with Google nears expiration, Mozilla has decided to change tack and is heading in a more diversified direction, including dropping Google as its default search engine in favor of a new 5-year deal with Yahoo.

So, no more Google as the default search engine in Firefox. Instead, Firefox users in the U.S. will now be getting Yahoo as the default search engine. Of course, alternative search engines (including Google) will remain easily accessible and selectable within the browser, as per usual:

A very cool shortcut you can use in Excel 2007 allows you to copy data from the cell above the current cell.

Follow the steps below to learn how:

• Click Ctrl + “ (quotation mark)

Say you enter the number 456 in cell A6. If you then move to cell A7 and click CTRL + “, 456 appears in the cell.

If you then go to cell A8 and key in CAB and click CTRL + “ you will see CAB456 in your cell.

This can really come in handy when you are entering data with a lot of similarities.

Backup of all databases should be taken & preserved in external storage device before installing the patch

Prerequisite
The following are prerequisite for installing this patch 8 for Sanchay post 7.5:

a) The Sanchay Post version 7.5 should be successfully installed
b) Interest Rate Upgrade should be successfully completed.
c) Service pack 1 for Sanchay post 7.5 should be successfully installed.
d) Patch 5 for Sanchay post 7.5 should be successfully installed.
e) Patch 6 for Sanchay post 7.5 can be optionally installed.
f) Sanchay Post version 7.0 should not be available in the system.
The database version should be updated with all patches provided. The database should be compliant with SQL Server 2000 / 2005 /2008.

Note:
Patch 8 should be installed in server and all client machines. SP_KVP_Tool. Exe(available in KVP_Tool folder) should be executed ONCE in SERVER ONLY. It shouldn’t be run in client machines.

The Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley will re-launch the Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) here tomorrow in the presence of Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister of Communication and IT and Shri Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Finance among others. Increasing savings rate in the economy was one of the priorities of the new Government on assuming charge. In view of the popular demand and to revitalize Small Savings, the Finance Minister in para 27 of his Budget Speech announced that "Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) a very popular instrument among small savers will be reintroduced The instrument will encourage people, who may have banked and unbanked savings to invest". Accordingly, it is decided to reintroduce Kisan Vikas Patras (KVPs). KYC norms regarding all National Savings Schemes (NSS) are now applicable in post offices and banks w.e.f. January, 2012.
