Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working in Windows 7

We can say that the Windows operating system stands with the help of Windows Explorer. This is a very essential program in Windows operating system. All major programs related with Windows Explorer. This is only file browser in Windows Operating Systems. Not only that, Taskbar, Start menu and System properties also related to this.
This is also a very common problem with the windows users. I am trying to explain the Windows Explorer error with the most common solutions and fixes.

Your operating system should be updated always. To check whether it is updated or not you should go to Start button > all programs > Windows Update. You’re all hardware drivers also should be updated including your Display or Graphics driver. Backdated Graphics driver also triggers an Explorer bug.
Check your whole systems with good scanning software. So that you confirm, there is no virus, Rootkit, Spyware, Malicious files or Software inside your systems. Sometimes this also is a cause for Explorer fault.
Click on Start then type “cmd” in the Search box. Right-click on cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. It will ask the password for an administrator account. Continue if you are the administrator or type the administrator password. Then, click Continue. In the command prompt type sfc/scannow and press Enter. By this you get to know about the conditions of your Files and Folders.
After this you need to check your hard disc condition. If the hard disc contains any bad sectors or bad clusters that also be a cause of Explorer fault. For this you need to run scan disc utility. For that you follow these steps;
  • Open the Start Menu and click on the computer
  • Right-click the hard drive that Windows is installed (default it should be C:\)
  • Select Properties
  • Go to the Tools tab and select Check now.
  • Select both the options and Click on Start
  • It will scan your hard disc next time when you boot your computer.
You can check the memory status of your Windows Click on the start button, type mem and hit enter. This will open the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool which will perform a memory scan on the next system startup.
All these are initial and common checks which causes a Windows Explorer fault.
