PPF Extension procedure in DOP Finacle

• PPF can be extended once the account completes the 15 financial years from the date of opening.
• PPF account can be extended for 5 years after completion of 15 financial years.
• PPF account cane be extended even after extension period i.e., we can extend for every 5 years after the maturity date there is no limit for extension of PPF account.
• Rate of interest will be based on the rate at which the Department of Finance fixes for the financial year it may vary for every financial year.

Step by Step Procedure for Extension

• The menu option used for extension of PPF account in DOP Finacle is HCEXTN.

HCEXTN stands for PPF Account Extension

• Invoke the menu HCEXTN in the counter PA login and select the function as "E-Extend" and give the account number then the system auto fills the maturity date,depositor name and account open date as shown

Then click on submit then the system will display the message as "Account extended successfully" as shown in the below figure 

Verification of PPF Account Extension

• For verification of PPF Extension also the same as HCEXTN.
• Invoke the menu HCEXTN and select the function as "V-Verify" then enter the account number then the system auto fills the open date,depositor name and maturity date as shown in the below figure

Then finally click on Submit then the system will display the message as "Account verified successfully" as shown in the below figure.
