Anti-drowsy Driving Headset

It's a sad fact that drowsy driving kills thousands of motorists every year, however 13-year-old Katherine Wu wants to change that. She's created a headset that can measure the balance of your brain waves. If it detects that you are falling asleep at the wheel, then it alerts you with lights and audio, saving you from a potentially fatal accident.

TouchPico Projector

This clever little invention turns any wall into a touchscreen. Created by TouchJet, this projector can run any Android app. It uses an infrared camera in order to track the movement of a stylus on the wall. Following a successful Indiegogo campaign, the first lot of TouchPico projectors are scheduled to be shipped this month.

infraV Smartwatch

In order to stand out from the plethora of wearable fitness trackers already on the market, the infraV is described as the most feature-rich smartwatch and it certainly lives up to that title. It claims to track blood glucose, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygenation, body temperature, calories burned, electrocardiogram waveform, stress levels, sleep quality and kidney function - all without taking a single drop of blood!

Here's a handy invention for any camping enthusiast out there. The Anywhere Fridge is a portable, metal-framed fridge that charges using solar panels or a car lighter. So far it has smashed its Indiegogo target and will be available in two sizes and various colours. When not in use it can be folded away and carried much like a briefcase.

Flame Base Layer

This heated base layer garment has been developed with the University of Toronto's Entrepreneurship Hatchery. It conceals three heat elements (which have been highlighted in the image), all of which are powered by a single lithium-ion battery. What's really clever is that a smart heating control prevents you from overheating. It can even be washed and hang-dried like a standard undershirt.
