Gionee launched Elife S5.5, which the company claimed as the world’s slimmest smartphone, in India. Priced at 
22,999, the slimmest device is only 5.5 mm thick and weighs about 130 grams flaunting a metal frame chassis. The white variant of the Gionee Elife S5.5 is available on the company’s official online store.

The Gionee Elife features a 5-inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The phone runs on the Android version of 4.2 Jelly
bean with the company’s Amigo UI. The phone’s hardware consists of an Octa core processor offering a clock speed of 1.7 GHz alongside 2GB RAM. The photography on the phone is done through a 13 Mega Pixel autofocus camera with an LED flash, which has sensors like face and smile detection. There is a 5 MP camera on the front side for video calls and Selfies. It has inbuilt storage memory of 16GB and no extra card slot.
There is a host of connectivity features offered on the Elife 5.5 like the Bluetooth 4.0, 3G connectivity, GPS, USB, Wi-Fi and lot more. The phone is powered by a 2300 mAh non-removable battery and will last more than a day.
