Will go on strike if pay panel issues are not solved: NJAC
Failure to revise minimum wage and fitment formula recommended by the Seventh Pay Commission through a high-level committee will leave the National Joint Council of Action with no choice but to go ahead with its indefinite strike, member of NJCA and All India Defence Employees’ Federation general secretary C. Srikumar has said.

Addressing a press conference here, he said one of the four months time given to the Group of Ministers, set up after the intervention of the Prime Minister, for studying the recommendations of the high-level committee had elapsed, but no progress had been made.
He termed that the increase was a mere Rs.2,250 and the fitment of 2.57 the lowest by any Pay Commission so far. Mr. Srikumar said the four lakh Defence employees would join the September 2 general strike called against the “neo-liberal policies” of the NDA Government.
