Google Chromecast: What About It?

Google has released the Chromecast its TV product in India at a price of Rs.2999, though people know about its features or followed its release some are still confused as to its working. Means literally what is its use, how to use it, which devices does it support or which thing are required prior to its buy.

These are what the consumers are fibbing and trying to know after buying which surely is a mistake. So here we align some answers to them as to the basic requirements needed prior and as to its use reports Indian Express.

chromecastWhat is it or simply about it?

Google’s Chromecast is not something a supermodel which can change dimensions or something, its just a TV extension like a dongle which requires a HDMI port in your TV to start its use.

It is not self powered, it needs to be connected by a cable also it requires a Wi-Fi connection without which it is of no use.

What is its use?

It wirelessly connects to your TV through the HDMI port, you need to download chromecast app so to make use of the dongle-alike. The app is available for Android and iOS platforms for your mobile, tablet or computer.

The videos you want to stream on Youtube you can transfer them to TV using this through the app, all the control rests in your hand(mobile) as to the play/pause options.

You can also play it from computer; the tab you opened can be displayed off directly in full screen.

Why is Chromecast useful?

It obliterates you from the hassle with wires shoving them to the respective ports and setting it up. You can have presentations in the office quite professionally from the back to spread the data out.

You can also show off your travel pictures on the big screen as the main idea behind it is to free you from the small screen and provide you large expanse are to view.

The chromecast is linked with the app playing it,so for you to set it aside and work out any features on the phone.

 What it cannot do?

It is not a whole individual that can work on its own, it is dependent on other device as to its usage. It is not like the other android devices that can work without mobiles or computer to interact.

It also requires compatible apps specially made for it, so to make it work.

It cannot work with Windows or Linux software also you can’t expect it to play Blu-Ray videos that are being played in your computer.

Is it worth, should you go for it?

If you have a TV that is new (sporting HDMI port), an android phone or tablet or an iPhone for 3000 rupees you can turn your TV as your second screen.

The chromecast is not like a must-have device, without it also  there would be not much difference in enjoying your video view. But if you are gadget fanatic and can fetch Rs. 3000 then it could be your first choice.
