HOW TO FIX AN ERROR : “USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED”

Recently one of my blog reader asked  a question which he’s facing i.e. : “one of the USB device attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it”
USB Device not recognized
Today I will tell how to fix this error. The symptom is when you connect a USB device, system will pop up a message “One of the USB device attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it”.
This is a very common error and here are some general troubleshooting steps, hope it’s helpful.
Try the steps given below:

  1. Make sure you update to latest BIOS.
  2. Reinstall USB controllers
    • a-> First, please disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
    • b-> Click “Start” button, type “devmgmt.msc” (without quotation marks) in the “Search” bar and press “Enter”. [Click “Continue” if necessary.]
    • c-> In Device Manager, double-click to expand “Universal Serial Bus controllers”, right click on the Host Controller, click “Uninstall” and click “OK”.
    • d-> Repeat the step (c) to uninstall all items under “Universal Serial Bus controllers”.
    • e-> Then, restart your computer and Windows will re-install all USB controllers automatically.
Try all these steps and do let us know that your problem is solved or not.
