WhatsApp Web is Coming to Windows 10 Edge Web Browser

Ever since WhatsApp Web was launched at the beginning of this year, this desktop client has only been able to support a limited number of web browsers.
When it first launched, only those using Google Chrome were able to use this app. However, things started changing after a while as more browsers were introduced to the platform.
At the moment, WhatsApp Web can only be used on Chrome, Firefox and Opera web browsers. Even though this is an amazing application for instant messaging, the fact that it is limited to a certain number of web browsers is quite disturbing. For one, Internet Explorer has never been on WhatsApp Web’s radar. Perhaps it could be because Microsoft had already made it public that it was going to drop this web browser when it launched the new Windows 10 – something that has already happened.

Windows 10 users to enjoy WhatsApp Web via Edge browser
Now that WhatsApp Web is enjoying success on Chrome, Opera and Firefox, it is time for the Microsoft Edge users to enjoy this application too. Of course, Microsoft will be very happy to learn that this application will finally be coming to this web browser and Windows 10 in general – something that was quite hard to achieve with different developers following the launching of Windows 8/8.1.
Developers have started to embrace this new OS and it will come as good news to Microsoft. The functionality of this OS will be bettered as more and more developers come onto it with more popular apps.
How to setup WhatsApp Web on Microsoft Edge browser
Unlike in other web browsers where the process is actually straightforward, it does take a little effort to make things work on Microsoft Edge with respect to WhatsApp Web. To get going, you will have to first of all hit the F12 key on your keyboard when in the Edge browser. Navigate to the Emulation Tab and while there, change the User Agent String that is listed as Edge to Chrome, Firefox or Opera.
Once you make this change, it will now be possible to use WhatsApp Web on your Edge browser using the usual process. Point the browser to the page web.whatsapp.com and scan the QR code that appears there using your phone app.
The power of instant messaging via PCs has now been brought to Windows 10 in style. There is no need for the users to wait for the company to roll out an app that is supported by the Edge browser as this tweak works perfectly well. However, there are reports still going on suggesting that sooner or later, an Edge browser that supports WhatsApp Web without having to tweak some settings will be available as part of the Windows 10 update.
WhatsApp Web for Edge browser to increase WhatsApp usage
WhatsApp developers have really done an amazing job by enabling users to make use of this application on their Windows 10 PCs. This means that at least four web browsers can be used to read and respond to WhatsApp messages. With this increment in the number of web browsers’ support, the company expects that more people will join this platform.
WhatsApp Web has seen lots of improvements ever since it was introduced. It has gone on to add support for photo editing, chat management as well as enhancements in the contact and group info panels.
